Huber brothers break El Cap speed record
Alexander and Thomas Huber have broken the speed climbing record for the Nose on El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, USA. They set a time of 2hr 45min 45sec on October 8, 2007 for the 1000m high face, taking three minutes off the previous best time.

Amazing. I am a Yosemite-Mono Lake Paiute, one of the original Native people of Yosemite, and it is amazing that they broke that record. Congrats to them! |

Is it true that if they get caught behind a party they stop the clock and rest? I understand that it would be pretty difficult to try it when the route was empty, but having non-clocked resting time must be an advantage, right? |
