As you may know, Rab is a highly authentic brand well-known in the international alpine mountaineering community. Rab has been creating a bigger presence in the US and presently Pine Needle Mountaineering of Durango is one of their strongest US dealers. This new partnership is prestigious for both Rab and Southwest Adventure Guides.

“We're all very excited to be wearing Rab this winter and beyond, and are equally excited that Rab is now our select provider of technical outerwear for our guides and clients,” said Nate Disser, director and head guide for Southwest Adventure Guides. “Rab’s clothing and equipment offer the best protection from the elements and are nearly indestructible, making them the perfect companion to any backcountry adventurer.”

“This is a great, natural partnership between Rab, Southwest Adventure Guides and Pine Needle Mountaineering,” says Matt Gowar, president of Rab. “Rab is the perfect gear to accompany the guides and clients of Southwest Adventure Guides during backcountry excursions. We are thrilled to be the gear of choice and look forward to other opportunities this partnership will bring.”

Southwest Adventure Guides is positioning itself for the coming trend of “stay-cationing,” which implies that consumers and travelers will be staying closer to home over the next six months to one year, instead of going abroad, or spending on travel afar. And, as part of that trend, SWAG and affiliate, local outdoor specialty store Pine Needle Mountaineering, are going to be co-promoting local Avalanche Awareness Clinics this winter.

Rab’s products have been developed and tested by leading climbers, mountaineers, polar explorers and mountain athletes over the past three decades, and their apparel and gear is proven and in demand the world over by climbers and outdoor adventurers. This partnership further solidifies Rab’s hard-earned reputation for being the apparel and gear choice for the most authentic users in the world. Rab is proven again and again in the most challenging terrain, and in the worst weather conditions imaginable.

About Rab:
Rab Carrington, one of Britain’s foremost mountaineers, established the Rab brand in 1981 to design and manufacture the world’s finest down clothing and sleeping bags. From these early days, Rab created a reputation for producing garments designed for the most extreme conditions in the world, and for searching out the finest technical fabrics to use in his designs. Rab clothing stands among the most technical and innovative on the market, designed to meet the exacting demands of the Scottish mountains that remain the inspiration and testing ground for many of the products. The Rab brand continues to be run by climbers for climbers and all products are tested in extreme environments by our team of mountain athletes.

About Southwest Adventure Guides:

I would really like to see these kinds of messages NOT on the front page, and NOT in the 'news' section. This hardly constitutes climbing news.
