Article: Climbing and Murder
3 out of 5 stars So I believe this intriguing story was well written without a clue as to it's truth. Props.

If it is true, then I think it is a bit ridiculous, for reasons mentioned beforehand, but if if is not true, then why write it?

At any rate, if someone climbs with someone else, then they assume that someone else is competent. If they are not, then, well, someone is incompetent.

Article: Climbing and Murder
3 out of 5 stars Undoubtedly, this was a worthy effort by the OP, however it reeks of "muckraking."

I would admire the effort more if A) the author's real name was used, B) it was announced as fiction from the get-go, C) it had any basis in real law.

I am not a lawyer, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Article: Remembering John Rosholt
5 out of 5 stars Thanks for posting this, Jane. I climbed extensively with John in 1981, and will use today to remember him fondly (as I always do!)

Cheers,
Loran

Article: Sport Climbing on 2020 Olympic Games Shortlist
5 out of 5 stars Having been (briefly) a member of the USA Climbing comittee to gain inclusion of competition climbing in the Olympics, I say, "It's about time." The sport doesn't have to be flashy to watch to represent the excellence of human competition, and climbing is one of the oldest, most pure forms of human endeavor, modern rules necessary for competition not withstanding.
