Takos Satoko, a Japanese climber recently living in Canada, was traveling home to Alberta from a climbing trip to the US when a car accident left her with multiple fractured cervical vertebrae. She is currently recovering in Casper Medical Center in Wyoming, where she continues to have labored breathing and muscle paralysis below the shoulders.

By now most of you have heard of the death of John Bachar, and we all watched with growing dread as news of the tragedy surrounding Jonny Copp, Micah Dash, Wade Johnson unfolded. This time the news is not quite so dire, but a climber is now stranded thousands of miles from home, paralyzed, and needs your help to get back to Japan and her family.

For further details, and to participate in her recovery, please visit here.
