getting started...

Just started reading RWW and am already having light bulbs go off. I've been climbing for about 3 years and am having issues with leading. I've done it a number of times, sport, single pitch and multipitch trad but have a high level of discomfort with it. I really feel like I could be climbing better (harder) if I wasn't so focused on the fear. Hence the reading of RWW.
In my opinion there is a lot of good information and just reading pell mell through the book and then heading out to the crag, seems like I'd miss a lot of subtlety. But I can also see reading the whole thing, and then going back and reinforcing certain sections after a climbing day.
What worked best for you? Did you read one or two chapters and then try to incorporate that the next time you climbed? Or did you read the whole book to get the jist and go from there?
