It sounds like you're worried about costs. I would recommend staying in Tonsai for a myriad of reasons. I was there in Jan 08 and I found a room for $10 and meals were probably $2-4? A really good piece of beta, is you can get those huge 5 gallon jugs of water from a store, and pay a deposit. In the meantime, you can switch empties for a small fee for a full one, and you get your deposit back when you're done in the end. It's amazingly cost effective, and you don't pollute the area with empty water bottle trash since they are reused/refilled. Enjoy!
