I came across a great deal for buying a bunch of plywood with t nuts and about 300 different climbing holds. Now the only issue is where to build the damn thing. I don't have anywhere indoors so I was thinking about making a free standing wall with an overhang and two vertical walls on the side with a roof so it would be kinda like a lean to. Any input would be appreciated. thanks

If you have a grassed area, sinking around 7 10ft treated posts (2 ft under) would get you the majority of your boxed frame on top of providing a solid base. Once the 4x8 sheets are on the posts will be well secured, but can put in some cross supports too (i would). Then its just a case of getting some angled metal slaves to extend for the overhang.

Obviously metal frame would see a longer life.. but wood it an option.

I hope im thinking of the same kinda wall design as you ;p. A box with 3 walls, missing wall would be access to the inside where the roof climb is?.
