I was maybe an hour and a half into a climbing session at the gym. I was doing a V5 (definitely at my limit) and I only managed to get two fingers on and open handed grip (my index and ring finger). I then felt a pop and pain and I let go.
That was yesterday. I just started testing it today. I can extend my finger fine. I have sharp pain with not much pressure with an open hand position on that finger. And there's a little aching pain for a while if I use that finger for anything really.
Really frustrated as I had a crimp injury on my right ring finger that I only got rid of a month ago. I took a month off for that and have been taking pills every day to prevent anything happening again along with a much better warm up routine :/
This feels a little worse though. Will seeing my local GP help? I have no idea what doctor to visit? Should I see one asap or is it fine to maybe wait a week before seeing a doctor?
