I'm guessing you're talking about feeling the weight in your harness when belaying. A few things to check:

1. Make sure your harness is fitted correctly. Too loose of a waist-belt can put all the weight into the leg loops, usually on the inside of your thighs. You might also look for a more comfortable harness.

2. Make sure you're using a couple of carabiners for your the rope's master point and not something like a free-running pulley. The friction from the rope's bend around the carabiners is necessary for the system to work as it should.

3. When your climber falls you can bend slightly at the knees and lean away a bit to put more of the weight on the back-thigh portion of the harness leg loops instead of in the inner-thigh.

4. Get used to it (a.k.a. "Harden the F*%@ up!")
