Guys, I am about 2 months into wall climbing. I loved it very much. My belayer keep showing harder and harder route to go. (3 times a week, top rope 30" Gym rock). I am in love with Rock Climbing.

I just bought my first shoe, got a Five Ten Team for a good deal 50% off. My feet normally fit size 10 or 10.5, so I order the size 10 and ir couldn't fit my feet at all.

I finally settle with size 12. It fit nicely, except it always brings pain to my toe, and I had to take it off after two climbs or so. Yesterday, one of my toes started to bleed due to friction between the big toe and the toe next to it.

My questions is: Is it normal? Should I get a different shoe? the Five Ten Anazazi VCS maybe? or Evolv Shaman?

I like this one because it looks nice, fit good, and I got it for 50%off.

Let me know what you think.

Loving Rock Climbing.

I think it doesn't fit well. I wouldn't wear it. Are your toenails trimmed adequately (which doesn't have to be real short, just not long/jagged).

Approach shoes don't offer nearly the performance that real climbing shoes do.
