La Sportiva "Solutions" repair

I have two pairs of "Solutions" from La Sportiva but i find the strap always break before the shoe is worn out, not sure if you guys meet the same problem. One of my friends shared a study and showed people how to short term fix it. He even offers free repairing sevice, quite cool!
