To the OP. Sweden isn't very good. The climbing is sweet for sure, but it isn't big. We all go to Norway for the big walls. Someone mentioned the Troll Wall – one of the most sinister walls on the planet, I'd guess, with frequent rockfalls. Here's an example from just a few days ago:

http://www.nettavisen.no/innenriks/article1362389.ece

Note: Rescue workers won't go near the Troll wall because of rock falls. If you get hurt on the wall, you're own your own.

But there are a number of other great walls in Norway. Kjerag, in the south, is one example – perfect granite, crappy weather and north facing.

The Blaaman (Blåmannen) way up north is supposed to be awesome. Haven't been there myself but I'm going. It's a north face above the arctic circle so during the summer a lot of the climbing partys climb during the night cause that's when the sun is up. Wierd...

Grade V's in New Zealand? What are the nearest towns to these walls?

In Quebec:
1. Cap Trinité in the Saguenay fjord: The nicest accessible spot for a portaledge east of the rockies.
2. Hautes Gorges - Malbaie river (where the classic Golden Apple ice-climb lies)

In Newfoundland:
Possibly Gros Morne National Park

the Kaipo wall at the head of the Kaipo valley is NZ's biggest at 1300m of sheer granite, deep in the heart of the wild fiordland ranges. accsess is either by chopper to the ngapunatoru plateau from Milford of Te Anau for a 'top-down' assault or by walking in from Kaipo Bay on the west coast (give this at least 5 days not to mention the boat ride to the bay) for a 'ground-up' bash.

ground-up the wall has only been climbed twice by some of the boldest, strongest climbers NZ had to offer at the time. and top-down a new free route has been put up last year... 500m of pretty consistantly overhanging 25 ish (5.12c??)
