Good luck clipping your rope to a quickdraw. I know that can be hard with the wrong rope. hahaha

So skilled in fact, that I can do it with any brand of rope. Even, with different diameter ropes. Maybe someday you can too.

You know, if empty words were worth something, maybe all the crap re. ropes, above, would constitute a "hot deal." But, as they aren't worth the megapixels they're taking up, would you kindly move the chatter elsewhere? Cheers.

They KICK ASS i want a freaking Beal Joker. or cobra II, but preferable a joker. I can't seem to find one cheap on the net. BALLS!!! Not to be a d-ck but why would you want a beal rope, they are great for the first week, but turn to ovalled out musshy crap after that, they also don't stand up long. I suggest either mammut or sterling (just bought a sterling velocity 9.8, it is AWESOME). dude, ropes are all personal preference. beals and bluewaters are great. I've used mammuts and sterlings, and they're fine too. I don't remember them being super AWESOME or anything like that. Thanks, CIS, I want the beal to use with the other beal I have (a cobra II). I haven't got to use it yet as i didn't buy both halves (halfs?) at once, so i figured i'd get the joker as it's partner. Why, you may ask? mostly because it's also rated as a single. If they don't last, as you (unrooted) say they don't, then I won't buy them again.

http://www.spadout.com/...view=1&cat_id=29 Mark has created and posted about this site he created on another thread on RC.com, but it basically compares like 30-40 stores and tells you what the cheapest deal is. Amazing. Which may suck if you are a gear store, but if you just are into buying gear, it will save you $$$ Thanks Mark Bill

Amazing. Which may suck if you are a gear store, but if you just are into buying gear, it will save you $$$ Thanks Mark Bill I checked it out briefly. It's helpful, but not perfect. For example, it missed the best web price I've seen yet on Women's La Sportiva Mythos shoes: http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=39199012&memberId=12500226. Another item it listed for a killer price was not available anymore. So, useful and good, but not the final answer. Kathy

Buy.com has a 1GB MicroSD card for $24.95. If you use Google Checkout and are a new user of GCO, you get a $10 discount to $14.95. Then there is a $15 rebate if purchased before 2/11/2007 meaning you get a 1GB MicroSD card AND a nickel for free. http://www.buy.com/...58207/202826912.html I bought one for a GPS unit I plan on buying that uses MicroSD for loading external maps, but it can also be used on some cell phones and PDAs.
