The zippers need to be on opposite sides in order for them to zip together.

I bet the men's bags will zip together if you flip them (sleep head-to-foot).
They could call it the Sierra Designs T-Bag.

Well, thought I would go ahead and post a photo. There is a story behind it though. This was Thanksgiving two years ago...myself, boyfriend and our two dogs. We planned to do a multi-day backpacking trip in and around Mount Moosilauke. Night one was in this shelter (where the picture was taken.) We hiked up what seemed like a frozen waterfall, in the dark. I can't count how many times each of us fell. We reached the shelter, which was luckily unoccupied. We tried to start a fire with a fire starter, but everything had been so wet and now was completly frozen that we had ZERO luck in starting this fire.
Plan B was to eat, because food is love. One swift flick of a lighter and we were on our way way to sausage...WRONG! Our stove was broken. The pump was no more. Plan C - crackers and cheese and use some of the fuel that was now useless and heavy to light a fire - still NO luck.
No water, nothing but crackers, cheese and trail mix. We summited Mt. Moosilauke the following morning, slightly defeated and returned back to the car sliding most of the way down this frozen "trail."
We tried again the next day on a lower elevation trail. Three Ponds Trail was suppose to be a great place to see moose. We hiked in the rain most of the first day to another unoccupied shelter only to find that our back-up stove was broken too! Crackers, cheese and trail mix it was! No fire because it was pouring rain by this point. At least we could filter water. We rushed through to finish the soggy trail the next day, bound up and ready to eat some real food, and again, defeated...
Anyway, the picture... it was SO damn cold that night, our poor pups were freezing. So, we let them in our sleeping bags. It would have been wonderful had our bags zipped together because both pups could have snuggled right in without a problem. It would have been tight, but at least there wouldn't have been drafts and the bags would have been closed.
Many nights we have slept like this...

So my girly-friend and I went camping/climbing. When it was time for bed there was only one bag: SD zero degree. Of course I was a gentleman and gave it to her, leaving me with the rainfly. Bad night in paradise.
