I like the new layout, It looks nicer. But on a forum based site, why are recent topics lost all the way at the bottom?

I've always assumed that that change was done to force the users to scan past all the rest of the front page content, and perhaps get their eye caught by something else along the way. GO

Sorry... I should have mentioned that these white boxes are for ads. NameMedia is currently upgrading their adserver and not all of the ad spots are currently getting ads.
