Perhaps it is marriage, not babies, that are the most efficient fun killing machines?

25 years married, and I bet I climb more than any of you. Tongue

I think its mostly the first 5-8 years that are the life suckers. You eventually get tired of one another and start finding reasons for the other one to GTFO of the house. Also known as "letting them have their hobbies."

You speak with such conviction and authority. You must have great practical knowledge of the subject at hand.

From the horses mouth my friend. Almost word for word actually.

Usually I don't skimp on emoticons, but I thought in that case the sarcasm was obvious

It's actually quite amazing that we can read so much sarcasm on here. To the uninitiated I'm sure it's almost unintelligible.

Thanks but we weren't close. I only knew her from the gym. She was a super nice lady though. Had kids and a family. It was rough for them for sure.

naw, he was a good kid. a bit of a flake, but i've kept in touch so we can hang out again. i was hoping to see him while in spain, but it just wouldn't have worked this time around.

I met him while he was walking around the wall street crag area in his boxers after he tried to swim the colorado river... upstream (true story - i knew who it was the moment I saw him). then he played push-the-car with jm and I for a week, did a three-day ascent of a grade II climb with us, celebrated jm's b-day, told us about the free food for homeless people at the library, stole an 18-year-old cutie out from under me, fixed a tent zipper, patched my down jacket, and woke the entire fucking region up one morning when he woke up with a spider on his face. he had amassed 27 gallons of milk cartons to fill water up with.

good times.

27 gallons of milk cartons?

In a somewhat related topic. A couple weeks ago, I wus doing some cutting and drilling on a plate. Making some stuff, rock hounding pick, hacket, and ice axes. Cause homemade is phun. ARE U FRACKING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Old age I tell ya
Yea, it pretty much sucks...

I know... I"m nearing 30
Back is slowly geting better. Down to 600 mg advil twice a day. not in pain any more, but soarness tightness is there. So its going to be a while still. MadMadMad
In other knews, my knee, was tender going up a flight of stairs yesterday. Crazy
MadMadMad
Although that was gone later and today. Unimpressed

Go get a massage. They do wonders for soreness and post injury pain relief. Well worth the money.
Been thinking about that. The pain has moved on from strain pain to tightness. So thats a good sign.
One of the things I keep hearing is the abs need to be strengthened. The Y has a couple machines for working the abs. Need to start hitting the Y for them and just everything in general.

I think the machine for abs suck. Good ol' fashioned crunches seemed to work best for me.

Worked for what?

Back in the day when I used to do that sort of thing, yeah, I found the machines to be mostly useless.

P.S. It only hurt a little that you did not respond to my self invite. I am strong on the inside. I can take it. *single tear*

I'd try to hack you and add myself to your friends, but I'll admit I can barely type, much less hack.

we used to have two minor holidays: Lincoln's Birthday and Washington's Birthday, with Washington's being the one we got off from work, school, etc. Now they've joined them on Washington's Birthday and simply call it President's Day.
