I kinda heard from a freind that there was some 40-50 project manager/contract monitor jobs open. So after teh career fair, I went ahead and sent my resume to my freind, on the chance that he might forward it to those who told him there were lots of jobs. He was not interested himself, looking to retire and move out of state. He forwards it to an old freind, who forwards it to the one guy at the job fare. that guy said he would have 1-2 contract manager jobs open in 60-90 daze.

Fantastic!

We're all out of here in 30 daze.

Oh, right. Unsure
Did I mention we're cutting back 900+ jobs?

Does that mean you're sticking around longer or no?
I have no hope of staying on longer.
People have been going around touting number like 50 jobs in one area, 300 or 400 jobs over all. But I am only seeing a ferw here and there. Some not even opening up untill after we're all fired.

you're getting a year, plus you may be eligible for unemployment, too. I wouldn't stress until it's time.
Yea, well there is that.
Cept the last time I was unemmployeed I was living with me mom and dad. And didn't have other mouths to feed.

And I just like the look on her face. The doe eyed exuberance. I wish I was that psyched on life when I'm out climbing. Anymore, I spend most of my time scowling at people who are already on the route I wanted or complaining about how suboptimal the conditions are or making excuses for why I FAILed so hard.

Too much a good thing there for awhile. Being constantly injured these last 6 months has helped with that. I'm actually pretty stoked when I do get out.

I haven't climbed since Spain. I'm hoping to get out in Sept or Oct once the weather turns back to being somewhat normal again.

^^ not true. I climbed here when my buddy came from Germany. That was in March, I think.

I'm a little depressed out this, too. I want to make climbing a much more regular part of my life like it used to be, but I understand why it's not right now. I simply don't have the time and i need to commit to getting my art out there. That's time consuming.

My hope is that once I start generating cash that I'll be able to set recreation back on the agenda. Simply not that plausible at the moment. But I'll get there. I feel things are moving forward in a really good way right now.

Not quite sure why this pic kicked so much emotion. OK, so she's a newbe. Brand new pass and harness. But I don't know why ed didn't get that the second rope was for a 3rd person. Don't know why the photographer got so bent over ed's comments. Don't see the doe eyes that NA does.
The subject seemed to have an even response though.

The latest:

A buddy of mine in Boston performing live (he's an actor and musician).

Good news is that I think I have three new sales in this new medium. Really stoked to know that there may be three or four more coming in the next few weeks.

scary news is that the lady just sent out a press release for my exhibit...and since she's a journalism professor...guess where the press release is also going...yeah, to the local TV station, specifically the culture show.

She's thinking I'm going to do an interview on TV in Portuguese. ShockedCrazyShockedBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerShockedBeerBeerBeerBeerShockedLaughLaughLaughBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerBeerFrownFrownBeerBeerCrazyMadLaughLaughShockedBeerBeer
