Yeah, kind of hoping he saw that for the joke it was. which climb did you get on? went out to lumpy ridge and jumped on a climb called batman and robin... while 5.6, most of the climb was actually more like 5.4-5.5. Pretty good quality though, and a nice way to ease into it.

Loved that route, though I didn't have to lead the runout 2nd pitch (or 3rd, can't remember which one is the chimney).

Thanks. There may be climbing invites starting next year again, so keep your eyes and ears open. How's life down south? You climbing at all? I'm psyched on that. I don't check in here often so shoot me a PM so I get am email notification. The last six months have been great for climbing. I've pretty much eleminated the gap between my sport and trad onsight levels and I've been soloing a ton. I'm leave in 4 days for a month long trip to Grand Teton NP. Will be soloing a lot but two of my partners just moved to CO and others are coming thru on road trips. I'm pretty excited. That's sweet, as long as the sport and trad levels aren't 5.4. Still, Tetons sounds nice. You going to hit up Loran (now that he can drive) and Erin (now that she's surrealistically a Boulderite)? Don't forget the most hated man on the knob. He's always up for trips. I can put you in touch. Be careful with the fast-moving storms out there if you're soloing. Planning to hit up the Edge for sure. Tetons are a long drive for him but I'm coming down to CO at some point so I'm definitely trying to get out then. Although a meet up vedauvoo would be sick. Edge, wanna go to vedauvoo!?!? Does Erin still climb? Thought she quit and took up trail running or something. I'd be psyched if she wanted to get back in to it. Yeah, I might start a thread or maybe just PM some people but I would like to climb with some RC.comers. you avoiding the MHMOTK or should I put you in touch? I think Erin climbs still. They were talking about getting together at some point. Sounds like a sweet trip. What brought it on? Edge will totally take the sharp end on the sharp offwidths. In fact this is what he said recently: Edge wrote: Hell yeah, if Brian asks me I'm totally down for doing sharp offwidths at veedawoo. I won't even question it. quote tags don't lie. unless I disagree with them, and I don't disagree with this one I thought MHMOTK wuz ChurningwitaRake? Otherwise I has no ideas. Was talking about JM. I thought we liked the kid ^^? oh yea we do.

The youngest sitting down with the belay device in hand and each kid behind the other after him holding on to the harness to keep them from flying up. That would be an awesome shot.

Hit me up if you want to get out sometime. Not sure what your schedule is but I get home at 4:30 M-Fri and would love to have a partner for the remainder of the day occasionally. smith.loran at g mail or call/text 6o3;833:3o37 I've not been out a ton, but recently hit Veedauwoo for a weekend and have been doing a bunch of hiking/exploring. I'll happily lead Kor's, or anything you want to get on. Mostly been busy with work, about to start making a set of kitchen cabinets and doing the finish on a house. I'm taking a break from furniture for a bit once I deliver a coffee table I am finishing. That will free up all of my weekends for fun stuff. I also just got asked to be an assistant to the presenter at a week long Shamanic Reiki workshop at the Omega Institute in upstate NY in early Oct. If all goes well, she is looking to set me up as a national level facilitator/teacher at this and other venues. Not sure what the compensation is for the presenters, but when I took the program there were 50 people attended at $1K/per. Any decent cut of those type of numbers will more than cover all my expenses, plus it's a fun break. Oh yeah, officially looking to purchase in Boulder now. Gulp.

I have heard of Marjorie Razorblade being "the most fallen off of E3 in Scotland" and today I helped continue that trend considerably.

Gulp. wooo! Matt and I would love to buy, but we have been terrible about that thing called savings :( I can probably get to work early once in a while and leave by 4:30. going to check out the aspen area this weekend and maybe do a big run... !

STFUDonSKI? uggg hope the PT is helping! went out and did some trad multipitch climbing like a real live climber. It was 5.6 ... but hey at least I didn't cry and my hubs didn't cut my rope. Kor's Flake was my favorite out at Lumpy. Loved that route, though I didn't have to lead the runout 2nd pitch (or 3rd, can't remember which one is the chimney). That one is definitely on my list, but I think I either need a rope gun, or need to wait until I'm a bit more confident before I try anything runout. Trying to figure out what to do this weekend. The USA pro tour is in town, and I don't really want to get stuck in my house from road closures. Saturday looks nice, but Sunday might be a bit rainy according to the current weather report... hmmmmm Anything more run out than aid bolts is not currently on my to do list. Course I can't even walk, so nothing is really on my to do list. You should get a pic of the kids belaying you up the stairs. The youngest sitting down with the belay device in hand and each kid behind the other after him holding on to the harness to keep them from flying up. That would be an awesome shot. with girth hitch hand rail for pro...

Saturday looks nice, but Sunday might be a bit rainy according to the current weather report... hmmmmm Shelf isn't a bad little day trip (well, maybe it's a bit far from Boulder), but if just to relax a bit there's some good stuff there. I say drive until the weather is nice both days. What's the USA Pro Tour? biking? Have you hit up Loran yet? JM is not that far away in the Springs, but he's up your way a lot for work. I know a bunch of people in the Denver area I could hook you up with. Cool! no I haven't :( I really need to though. I keep finding stuff to do, but then I have moments when I realize I really need to reach out a bit more if I really want to get to know people in the community. Hit me up if you want to get out sometime.
