Stick with the hockey helmet, especially if you were a goalie Wink

Helmet is a must in the gunks, at the end of a hot summer day when the rock get's cold and contracts, you can hear the pebbles falling, and after they fall 150ft they hurt when contacting your skull. so if something big cuts loose you better have your head protected.

my gunks rack is:

mammut element wire biners
trango flex cams- 3-7
metolius power cams- 2, 5-8
metolius tcu- 0,1
bd c4 - .5, .75
bd c3- 2
#5 ballnut (useful in some placements instead of a small cam)
tricams- 2 pink, one each of brown, red, purple
set of abc huevos
mid size bd stoppers in most used sizes
6 double trad draws
2 triple draws
3 quick draws (sometimes)
4-6 lockers
oh $^&% biner with a prussic, 2 tiblocs, small knife that locks open and closed,
petzl elios helmet
atc guide, belay biner, pas

if i'm doing top roping, or bringing up seconds that i might have to lower i'll bring a trango cinch, it's light enough to throw on my harness and not notice.

helmet: meteor, super light, super comfy, usually walk out with it on not even realizing it, though watch it while packing it on a plane, they are kind of fragile

Why would you want a helmet that you know is fragile?Pirate

Style.
Damn boulderers. Allways more worried about style than mountains.Hmm,... wait,... helmets? I guess the typical Maxi Pads went out of style. Or would that be "out of steez". Whatever.
