This should work, a link to my facebook photos. The new gym I'm building.

If this doesn't work, I'll add the album to my flickers and share that here instead.

How much does something like that cost to build?

Yup, photos worked to non Facebook users. Well, except for the "dancing" photos, they just left scars on the retinas.

Thanks for providing the update.

I recently read your rant on Camp5 in Malaysia, and now we see you opening 'Class 5' in Surabaya...

How did you come up with the name?

CLASS 5 mean technical climbing on the climbing scale used in America. Trust me, I have been using the Class 5 Branding long before there was a Camp 5 out-there.

In the 90's I sold my images under the Class 5 Vision Brand.

Class 5 also has some history in the White Water rafting world.

Yeah, I agree, it's huge. The biggest in Asia by far.

All three sides of the gym will be 15 meters high. (45 feet roughly)

We are adding anew section already to cover a unsightly wall before we open. Once, done, we will clear 8000 Square feet of climbing space place a bit of bouldering.

Well, rock climbing in Indonesia is about to become more accessible. We're looking for a web-designer to hep create a combination web-page that will feature our climbing gym and be the source of real climbing information.

This week, crews are hard at work with painting the wall, laying the pipes for showers, and grouting tile floors. Monday, my router setters and I will go in and start setting some of the 150 routes. We're giving ourselves about 10 days to finish hanging 7000 handholds.

A few more photos at this link:

Did you underestimate the number of holds our are you ordering then in batches?

Are they from the same company or are you mixing them up?

for now, all holds are from the same company. I didn't completely underestimate the number of hold. Let's face it, I ordered 7000 (seven thousand) and with the boulder I need closer to 8000. We have enough to cover everything, I am just ordering more to set more routes.

We'll have about 175 routes and another 125 boulder problems by this time next week.

That's awesome Eman I'm really happy for you.

Has the gym been officially opened yet? I bet you created quite a buzz around your neck of the woods.

Best of luck to you!

No volumes at this time. To be honest, I don't think my current client would appreciate volumes much yet.

I plan on adding volume in about a year, when I need the wall to fell different and some members can feel a change.

Ever noticed a giant plywood pyrimid or similar bolted to a climbing wall to add a 3rd dimension instead of it just being flat? Volume.

Apex, Ball, Cone, and Tri Angl volume = awesome. Not to mention V1 volume, but $500 is fairly expensive!
