The situation in Syria pretty much shows exactly what motivates China and Russia. When it came time for stronger sanctions, they were the only vetoes on the Security Council. These are two nations the governments of which are currently devoid of conscience. However, please don't take this to mean I trust our own government implicitly in this case. Speaking as an "average American," it's very difficult to know what the fuck is going on right now. Therein lies the true legacy of George W. Bush.
