Basically, you should always softpoint your highline unless you are using something like a GriGri to terminate your tensioning system. If you are using a ratchet or rope w/ an ascender or combination pulley, never highline on it, always remove it from the system!

That device is of limited use in slacklining, sure you could use it, but its rather suboptimal. The first problem is that the take-up spool is too wide, if you are using 1", or even 2" webbing you are going to find that as you tighten the line its going to coil up like normal for awhile, but than it is going flop over to the side. If you still want to use it you could just wrap some 2" webbing around the back end of it and terminate it to your master point. However because the webbing is only 2" wide and not 4", what will likely happen is once you start cranking on the thing the webbing is going to flip to one side and its going to be all cockeyed, making your day hell.
