What do you guys think? no actually this is me being serious cuz when you move out of the gym and go out and try some real rock (5.11a) chances are pretty good you will shit yourself. I'm just trying to help a brother out. also if you pay for shipping I'll sponsor you a chalkbag!

Obvious Troll is pretty obvious, but i figured I'd chime in anyway because n00bs are probably clicking this thread: If by the first 60 days of whatever sport it is you've taken up you haven't had someone say something along the lines of "I don't think i've ever seen anyone get so good so fast and I've been doing [insert sport here] for quite awhile.", then you're not a natural. Good luck, have fun, whatever-- just keep in mind that at the very most you'll be a little bit better than your peers provided you work at it.

Hey buddy don't concern yourself so much. Based on what you said you aren't exactly a prodigy. I have only been climbing 1.5 years and have sport climbed outside twice and have already onsighted a 12b hanging bolts. Don't worry so much about being sponsored just climb for the enjoyment of it.

Honestly, it's not hard to figure out. If you really want recognition, get footage of yourself redpointing 14c or above, and post it all over the internet. Most people who have climbed at that level, and have video of it, are well-known and/or professional climbers. Most people who have climbed that level, are not professional or well-known, and have video of it, become well-known. Sponsors will seek you, not the other way around. If you have to seek out the sponsors, you're doing it wrong. This goes for ANY SPORT where income is sponsor-based (not to mention there is no money in these types of sports unless you're one of the top 5). You know how many sponsor-me tapes skateboard companies get everyday from kids all over the country?! About 95% of those videos get thrown out and dismissed. Climb for FUN, and in the end, you'll be exactly where you want to be.
