The finished product is rather embarrassing. Not enough love.

Still putting that off, huh? Sounds like he decided to go climbing instead. Yes, I have decided to go climbing. I have a target opportunity. Memorial day Weekend. Wife will be headed to her Mom's etc. For another torrent of birthdays. Since its awl nieces/nefews, I get a pass. Couple years ago I made a pretty good go of it. So I've started putting some feelers out for partners. To see who's free, what ideas are open. This sounds promising. Just remember to sign the B-day cards before you run out the door. Don't want everyone to think know you like climbing more than them. Well Memorial Day weekend has peaked the interest in a couple of my partners. One very much so. He's interested in going to Red Rocks. Well me too, but its pushing 100 right now out there. Now on the her family front. They're awl a bunch of home bodies, couch potatoes, shut ins. They don't understand why I always head out and do these crazy things. Thats fine, they're welcome to camp out on the couch, I'm headed to the mountains. 100 already? Yeah, no, don't go there. I've still not made it to the red rocks. but the 100 is a killer. we have a mutaul friend who is getting married, date tbd. This is the guy who 18 months ago I handed a grigri and said don't drop me. So I'm thinking the RR will be for his bach party, when they set a date, and the time gets closer, and the weather gets cooler.

I am trying to make good on the sandwich thing . . . actually I did feel really bad about that and there is a long story that forms my excuse: what happened was that I very unfortunately left all my sandwich stuff at my friend's house on Saturday and didn't realize it until it was too late for me to go and get it, and then I had to leave too early on Sunday for me to be able to get it, and the thought of going to the store and buying even more ham when I already had plenty of ham, cheese, and mayo I would never eat myself was a bit too discouraging, and plus I kind of thought it would be rained out. All that to say, I'm sorry I didn't make you a sandwich! Less excuses, more time in the kitchen. Woman. And that goes for all the ladies of the SPCI. KNOW YOUR ROLE! Are you referring to this? In a highly scientific study, it has been shown that roughly 0.0363% of people cannot identify this kind of joking as humor and will be offended. It seems we may have another person who can take "it" without ragequitting the internet. I had to look up "ragequit." But sungam, this is super discouraging: I just can't see myself posting 7 posts at a go! It is like watching someone climb 5.12 and being like I don't know how well I am going to do at this SPCI thing . . . [/lurking]Don't be discouraged by the riff-raff. Ironman's in town this weekend! I live < 2 miles from each start/transition. I nearly just have to walk out my front door to watch the fittest athletes in the known universe do their thing. Or do I? Sadly, Greggle must attend a wedding tomorry. Boo nuptials! Yay Ironman!

Had a great day of multi-pitch gear wankery on saturday and then a great day of sport wankery on sunday. I feel like everybody really stepped up to the plate and pushed beyond their comfort zone. I always love to see that. Sylvia came out sunday and brought one of her regular gym partners, who hadn't done any leading outside in a long time. Both of them were crushing pretty hard and kept coming back for more. I was impressed.

Climbing trip on wednesday for a week. Should be hilarious. I am going with the crazy polish dude who took a slide on the snowslope and almost ended himself. This is the same guy from the story a while back who took repeated 20foot inverting whippers into a slab. Having Epic'ed easy winter climbing and sport climbing, I'm taking him on his first trad climbing trip. I intend to scare the shit out of him (if that is even possible) ^.^

I should also have asked to make sure Mike wanted one, whereas he doesn't eat red meat either which I didn't realize. So I have one left too, and am now trying to give it to one of my coworkers...
