So went out for a pathetic day of climbing yesterday. We didn't do anything harder than 10+, I top ropped it all.

Finger hurt a lot, which might really screw up my climbing season this year...and this makes me sad :(. I should be fine for the fall, but a big break mid season doesn't give me much of a chance to improve on my climbing much this year.

Finger does feel better today than yesterday so maybe I should be more optimistic. We'll see what next weekend brings I guess.

Stay off that pup for a few weeks. None of this "feels better today" crap. Ride the bike. Drop some weight. Work the core. You'll rock it fine in September.
Derp. Train for ice season hardcore in a few weeks.

Speaking of training, being a salad eating pansy for the past several years has me to a gnu record low of 171 lbs.
At least that's recorded, as we don't have a scale in montucky.

I tipped the scales at a portly two bills recently.

I'm still weighing in at just over 140 (like 142ish). Which is pretty kick ass seeing as I never managed to get back on track with the calorie counting thing and I keep eating ice cream on the weekends.

I could knock my weight down another 5-10lbs, but that would be a lot of work.

currently sitting at 108ish. was ~106 in zzzzzzzzzz. could probably lose 5-10 lbs. who wants to see me try???

i've been doing a lot of not-eating lately. Unsure

You at sub-100? Too scrawny.

I've really cut back on the baking, but I think I have subconsciously been using exercise as an excuse to eat whatever I want. Also, after a run, all I want is a pasta bowl.

The age-old dilemma.

Weigh in this morning - 129. I want to be 120. This is going to suck. The lumberjack has already lost 15 pounds - but granted, he was at 275.

Biner is pleasingly plump.

Biner, you should really try to keep track of your calories for a few weeks at least. It really helps give you an idea worthwhile and worthless foods as well as portion control (ie - one bowl of pasta with a salad instead of two two bowls of pasta).

yeah, I haven't been sub-100 since I was like 15 or 16. I can get down to 112-113 with just regular fitness/ not eating junkfood effort, and down to 106-108 with just slightly more, but I've never tried to go full-on scrawny. And I think some of this weight loss is certainly muscle. I have barely climbed this summer.

When I started this my goal was 115, but then I realized that was back in high school and I probably wasn't done growing yet. I've got a few inches on dribble, don't i?

If it was a recipe I'd make fairly often I'd create it, or sometimes just put the sum of it's products in (ie - and omlete might be entered as 3 eggs, a serving of cheese, and onion and some mushrooms). Otherwise I would just pick something comercially made that's similar to what I'm eating just to get something representative in there.

I only bring the whole calorie counting thing up because while I feel I haven't been eating well since I stopped, I think I'm still a lot better than I used to be because I was so aware of the things I was eating for all those months last year.

We got snowed on this year in the first week of April.

DISLIKE!

O.K., I'll re-phrase it this way: where would you go in the last week of March, if you had a week to go anywhere? So far for that time frame I've done

--Smith Rock (good climbing conditions, but I don't want to go back there)
--Hueco (borderline too hot, but pretty good)
--RRG (great, assuming it doesn't rain or snow). But this is the backup destination.

Red Rocks is usually pretty gud then.

except for the whole getting rained/snowed on thing.

That's more early march I feel.

I've been rained/snowed on plenty in late march in both RR and Moab.

Gnuzflash Gn00bs, March is spring time. You can get rained on in Josh in March.

That doesn't give you an excuse to rain on everyone's enthusiasm right now.

Oh yeah we've been getting sprayed down. Threatening to again right now. I had to cancel a trip last week because of rain and most of the canyons are full of water and quicksand now. Looks like a good climb. What's your schedule looking like the end of next week/first of the week after?

Pretty booked with trips, but will have parts of this upcoming FriSatSun available. The more trips to Aug 7, then have to drive home to my dribble. Would be way psyched to show you this area though; calling it The Borderlands.

Spring in the Creek?

Yes pleeze.
What do you folks consider "spring"?
March/early April? Yore probably still in school?

Last week of March. Please?

In my somewhat limited experience, the last weke of march is a good time to get rained/snowed on in teh creke.

less so, I've found, and you can also climb immediately thereafter.

Ugh, how hard can it be to find online the climbing shoes you like in the size you want? Plenty hard, apparently!

Success, finally, after 2 days of looking! And I found them not on any of the usual sites (backcountry, mountain gear, etc. etc. or even zappos), but at some weird places I have never used before. But man, oh man, paying full price for a pair of shoes SUCKS!

Yes, but if you're not too picky then usually the itty-bitty shoes are the ones left on sale.

How small are your feel anyway?

What shoes? Usually when you can't find them at the big boys it means they've been discontinued.
