I was impressed with his chutzpah, putting that in there. As a guy whose been climbing like 4 years and lliving in colorado for 2? Showing up in a place with a rich climbing history, throwing out a sign and saying "I'm the best!" But he's never been the strongest thinker.

Welp, poppa biner got all burthurt and deleted a facebook thread, then posted: 'Sorry, guys ... All I did was post an observation about some recent election events and welcomed civil discourse ... Unfortunately, some do not understand how to do so whether it is with "f" bombs or ad hominem attacks ... I guess free speech is only free if you agree with those who attack you ... So, the political season is over for me ... Both candidates represent the lowest common denominators and we are doomed if we cannot be civil (especially to those we care about) ... So, since those who post cannot be civil or respectful, no more politics ... Congrats, "enlightened" ones, your open minds now suppress open discourse ... A sad day ...' Doc, look familiar? Heh, all I sez was 'Look, you're drinking too much Fox Flavored Tea'...apparently that is the new ad-hominem attack. Of course, he's allowed to say whatever he wants and it's civil, but as soon as someone says something to the contrary, it's attacking and hurtful and rude. It also bugs the shit out of me when people just go '...' instead of ending the fucking sentence. It's going to be a long drive next week.

Heh, Edge got a pretty good zing in on USn00b over in this thread. http://www.rockclimbing.com/...9;page=unread#unread

I gruppe-posted highlights from the weekend's political discussion. On the positive side, there were no name calling and hating about it. On the flip side, there was a lot of mental face-palming and conversation-switching on my part.
