Perfect temps, and I got on a total of 5 routes from 5.7 - 5.10a/b.
Although I didn't plan on it, I scrubbed a new line and led "Raven Song" at 5.7 directly up the middle of the cliff. Not too many remaining blanks on the Longstack map, but I'm sure I'll eek out a few more lines before I move.

Big ass drum making class tomorrow, and my hands are a mess. Missing a couple knuckles worth of skin from wire brushing without gloves. Then again, I never use gloves to scrub.

Sounds like a good day. I managed one hairy scary 5.9 (sandbagging SOB's) slab route and failed all over a .10c I flashed 6-7 weeks ago.
The weather was bluebird though and the hike was nice. Partners were good folks I enjoy spending time with. It was a good day in the mountains.

I send them back to the store for an additional four quarts of oil and a filter. They return and we proceed to change the oil. Other than him driving off the end of the ramps on his first attempt, everything goes smoothly and he does most of the work himself. We then topped off his power steering fluid and cleaned the buildup from his battery terminals. Unfortunately one connection was so corroded that the car wouldn't even start afterwards due to loss of metal on the connector. I send him to the store with what remained of the old part and he comes back with the completely wrong part. He says "this is what they gave me"! I ride up there with him, get the right part, come home and reassemble things. Car runs fine now. that was 30 seconds of my life I'll never get back. And it's all true! For real though, I feel sorry for the women who marry those two. They are useless. five quarts and one of these?
