Hardly worth watching... Leafs suck.

Well, they're winning Game 6 at the moment...and I have a bad feeling that they're going to walk into the second round after Game 7, too.

Bruins are playing absolutely uninspiring hockey.

But they leafs have a magic super power... they choke

Fingers are crossed? please?

I'll even refrain from throwing a fit if the Habs win their first round series.

F*** Hockey

That's funny because the Lady feels the same way about soccer.

Back from Zion!

Matt and I successfully finished our 48 mile run across it (with a good amount of hiking :P) took a loooooong time, but it was really beautiful and I'm really glad we did it.

I did nearly step on a snake, and saw 2 others... luckily none felt like eating me. Also in the animal count we saw 1 deer, 2 frogs, 10 million mosquitos and flies (they bite!) a few hundred tourists, and a tiny dog with a glittery clip in its hair...

I should put you in touch with a couple of friends of mine who are climbers and ultra-marathoners, too. They're both at Penn St, though, so a ways away, but he's been doing century trail runs for a couple of years now, I think. She just started the 50-milers. They're into doing races and stuff.

"Yes, the Italians have their entire Tenth Mountain Division stationed every 100 meters along the border to prevent terrorists from entering through the French alps."

My wife thought that was rude.
Befitting, not rude.

On the 90-100 degree days I love the ice cold water... trick is to fill the bottle half way, free it on it's side and top up with water before hitting the trail...

Camelback with large opening. fill with ice cubes... then water.

It is rude. There's no freaking need for them to be there. It's been borderless for since 1995, ten years after the Schengen Agreement was signed. People should be able to cross that border without ever having to smell bad aftershave. In fact, that alone should be in the next agreement, but whatever. The Italians will always be rude like that.
this!

I think this thread has more people not climbing than climbing, but that doesn't change the future.

the climbers have left the building......

Let's see....

Last weekend I did a 9 mile run on Saturday. Wasn't too bad. Went bouldering at Santee. Haven't been there in ages. Then to BBQ and home. Spent Sunday puttering around and enjoying life.

Monday I had to get underway on one of the ships. A week without communication. The nice thing was working 18 hour days... nice. ha. heh. Unimpressed Ate something bad on Wednesday and spent 14 hours in my rack/puking - that seemed to be the highlight of my trip.

Got back Friday and crashed. Saturday we puttered around doing chores and being lazy before spontaneously going out for a run. Only three miles, but still.

Yesterday, went diving. Saw some sharks. Had a bottom time of 85 minutes. Didn't freeze. It was pretty rad.

Today has been a fun day catching up on emails and jumping back into the planning fray at work. It makes me appreciate the down time. I really can't wait until the next big trip....

Two weeks from now we'll be out for a four-day backpacking trip in SEKI. Going to set up the Marmot-Stopperator 9500 (still working on that name!) and get our Sierras on. The weekends are booked until June, where I may find the chance to get outdoors and climb again.

I don't know where you get your ice, but down here ice is expensive. I'd have thought it would be cheaper in kanukistan where it's colder.
