Sounds perfect for some amazing hot peppers!

High of 73 here in dubbya vee. It would be primo sending conditions. Unfortunately, the open wounds in my future former gimp foot are making it impossible to put on a climbing shoe. Half tempted to see if I could do Apollo Reed with one shoe.

maybe attempt to refrain from doing anything else completely fucking retarded with that foot for a bit? like riverboarding? or getting it filthy hiking out to the crag before you're even allowed to take the bandage off?

Yore rite. I actually did get some cool waterproof bandages to put over the steri-strips, which will help with the cleanliness a lot. Still not going to do any sandals or water stuff for a couple weeks. Had a gneiss road ride today.

Keep in mind that waterproof bandages don't stick well to dirty skin. And also, I dunno if you really want to keep your steri-strips and the wounds moist, which they will be, most definitely, under the waterproof bandages, b.c the waterproof bandages don't breathe.

Hope the future former gimpfoot heals quickly!

DURP.

Skin is not dirty. Have not had to use the waterproof bandages yet, took my first shower using seran wrap barrier today at jungs, and evean managed to climb today in mah socks. Keeping it clean, gonna redress it tonight with more alcohol swabs and neosporin. That combined with the antibiotics I'm already taking and I think I'll be all right.

Was a great day on the rock today. There are like 6 Columbus climbers here cupping my balls tho.

I recumend shaving yore balls... help with teh chafping

Considering that you only have two balls, 12 hands trying to cup them has got to be uncomfortable. Tell them to take turns, or something.

shaking hed....[/] Ov course they are taking turns.... Ewe dun't noes much about ball cupping due ewe?

I mean sumtymes a couple guys will gets there hands in there at teh same tyme, but mostly it's like a gangbang. They take turns, lasts longer that way.

So, was out doing my evening circuit at junkyard crag last night. Had just topped out new yosemite, walked into the parking lot before walking back to the base of the carg, and there is this guy laying in the middle of the pavement. Flip flops, swim suit, no shirt, nothjng else. He gets up, stumbles around, looks at me and goes "they stole my car!" I can tell he's out of it, and completely wrecked, so I told him to sit down and I'd come back with water for him.

Run down to the crag, get my climbing shoes off, run back to camp, get some food and water and phone. Damn, it feels good to run with the hardware out! Hop on my bike and year back to the guy. Give him some water, and he just keeps muttering "I was so scared, so scared." I had thought at first that maybe he was just dehydrated, but he was def high in something.

Took pulse, normal; no dilation of pupils, no booze on his breath. He has now forgotten that he told me his car was stolen, and he just wanted to know how he got here. Found out he lives like 8 miles away in Oak Hill. Called police, they said they'd come get him. But a half hour later, after just sitting next to him in the lot, they were not yet arrived. He then looked at me and said "I'm a good man. But sometimes god tells me things."

This was my queue to leave. Didn't want to be stuck alone with a schizo. I told him which way he could walk to the highway, called the police back and told them he was leaving the area and to get there ASAP.

Hope he's all right. Crazy.

It's like Everist in them backwoods, everyman for his self.

Also, I might have 1-2 weeks, last of Oct, first of Nov to get out and do some climbing. I wonder if spearfish is too cold then?

I think when we were out at Spearfish is was April and it was still a bit chilly.

Also, teh pegboard champ won't be taking a trip in the fall and I will be looking for somewhere to spend a week. Just saying.
Guest rooms are done here. Kegerator comes in next week.

Yeah, just got back from a waterskiing and dirnking weekend in Sonoma. It was way fun. Another day, a little bit fatter and a little bit weker.

I got a bit of crap about it, because I was resistant to it at first, then it turned out I was the only one out of 6 of us who could actually slalom ski. They all think I sandbagged them.

'Nother good dubbya vee story here. I've taken part time work at a local restaurant (duntz laff). This week is teh national Boy Scout jamboree, about ten miles from here. Place is fucking nuts right now, bs everywhere. The Mormon profit will be here, rumors that Obama will be too.

Additionally, the CEO of AT&T is huge into scouting. He is the reason that Fayettenam has had awesome 4 gigity for the last few years, it was in preparation for this event.

Anyway, a few of his minions came into the restaurant this morning to pick up a bunch of to go orders. Totally douched out, earpiece headsets, etc. one of the waitresses was ringing them up, making small tawk, and said, "I hear the president might be here soon!"

The minion of AT&T CEO said, seriously, "maybe. But our boss is much more important than him." Hahahaha.

Though, it might be true. But still, what a bunch of douches.

Weird, it seems that you are working more now than you did when you were not-a-dirtbag.

And yeah. if the internet went down, you'd agree that the At&T boss is more important than the President, and you'd agree in a hurry. And you wouldn't even be able to post on Facespace about it!

So I've been having a busy busy busy time between work and recreation.

Nathan came up here for the weekend and we spent some time at crags we don't know very well. Didn't get much climbing in either day, but got fairly worked anyway.

We also rebolted a route at the one crag for the Ontario Access Coalition. We did it after the crag went into the sun and we didn't want to climb any more. So fucking hot!

Monday I was invited to go sailing. Went out on a 55ft boat with 5 other people, got out a ways when the wind dies. Had to motor it back to shore.

Yesterday I went biking. We were supossed to do a 40km look, but we stayed by the water and only did a 25km loop. Gave us extra time to sit at the air conditioned restaurant after to drink beer.

Tonight I'm going climbing and tomorrow I'm going climbing. Yay!

Oh, and the whole work thing.

So it's hot, like really stinking hot. Like 86F, but told that with humidity it's equivilant to 104F. We're installing a new printing press and it's start up time, so I've been sticking to the installer like glue to learn as much about this peice of junk as I can before he leaves.

To top it all off they put all the electrical panels 10ft up, so to connect to the controllers I get to hang out up there. FML

I also don't have air conditioning at my apartment and it's not really cooling off at night. I've been sleeping like shit.

Just checked what the weather is doing outside right now: 88f, feels like 109f.

At least I'm not down where Nathan is: 93f, feels like 113.

Back to the production floor for me!

Yeah, it is so freaking hot here. I haven't been to the (non-airconditioned) gym since I came back from Xzz's and not missing it one bit.

Went swing dancing on Friday (paging dribble!) it was fun. And tango on Monday. It was hot on the dance floor, despite air conditioning and fans, but coming out of there at ~midnight still felt like a hot sauna.

I would be so miserable without an air conditioner at home! I do O.K. without one during the day, but trying to sleep without some cooling is just Frown

Heading an hour north to try to get a bit more relief: only 82 feeling like 98 up there!

Fortunatly the cliff is pretty much on the water and has been in the shade since 1pm today. I hope it's tolerable.

This is one very nice thing about the Front Range. As soon as the sun goes down, the temperature outside plummets.

I installed a simple high-powered box fan in the ceiling of our master bedroom. It sucks air out of the room and into the unfinished attic, which has open vents to the outdoors. When it's running, it simply sucks the outside air into our bedroom, and pushes the bedroom air outside (via the attic). It's set on a timer to come on 1/2 hour before we typically go to bed.

When we open the door to the bedroom, we are greeted with air that's typically in the upper 60s to lower 70s, even in the hottest part of the summer, even when the rest of the house is in the 90s.

I have a window AC unit I run in my home office for a few hours a day, for a few days per summer. And the house-wide AC unit we basically turn on once a year, just to exercise it. :)

The cool nights also meant I could go and attack the enormous nest of yellowjackets in the shed this morning, first thing, when it was only 63, and they were slow and clumsy. It's a good thing humans have coffee, and yellowjackets don't. Otherwise I'd surely be slower and clumsier than they, and would be a mass of welts right now. But all went according to plan.
