Gary: nice work on the skin glue, so when can I drop off my skins?
Let me know what you have in mind for the weekend.

Steve: there was probably six inches of new snow on tues., it snowed all day while I was there. Probably close to a foot of new snow from recent wind loading and the additional snow on tues.

I rode the tuas, they did well.

I'll totally reglue your skins for ya, I owe you a little for that minor repair you did on my car  I think I have enough glue left to do them too.

I was thinking Saturday at Monarch. Maybe meet you at your house in morning for a change of pace?

Looking for backcountry ski partner for Indian Peaks, RMNP, or any other Front Range area. Been skiing for a long long time yet fairly new to backcountry. Prefer to ski with folks who know some avy science. Done a couple of courses myself and may get Level II cert this winter. Please PM if you can fit another on your next outing.

Jason,

We do quite a bit of stuff around Berthoud Pass. I haven't personally done anything in the Indian Peaks and would be interested in doing some touring out there. Everyone in our group has avy I experience and the tools to go with it. You are welcome to join in on Monarch this Saturday, or else we'll probably be doing a Berthoud Pass day Sunday if you are interested.

It's looking like a 7am meet time at my place. I think Mike from the mountain chalet is coming along as well, so we'll have to work on the car issue.

Spray alert! Tristan(just turned nine) had his first day out in the backcountry yesterday. :D
We skied the trees on the south end of Berthoud and the 7mile run from the top out to the lower switch back. I'm stoked. 8^)

Mmmm! Goddamn, Jimmie! This is some serious gourmet shit! Usually, me and Vince would be happy with some freeze-dried Taster's Choice, but he springs this serious GOURMET shit on us! What flavor is this?
Jimmie: Knock it off, Jules.
Jules: [pause] What?
Jimmie: I don't need you to tell me how fucking good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping she buys SHIT. Me, I buy the gourmet expensive stuff because when I drink it I wanjt to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead nigger in my garage.
Jules: Oh, Jimmie, don't even worry about that...
Jimmie: No, let me ask you a question. When you came pulling in here, did you see a sign out in front of my house that said Dead Nigger Storage?

Or so the conversation went...

Vincent Vega: [Y]ou know what the funniest thing about Europe is?
Jules Winnfield: What?
Vincent Vega: It's the little differences. I mean they got the same sh** over there that they got here, but it's just, just there it's a little different.
Jules Winnfield: Example.
Vincent Vega: Alright, well you can walk into a movie theater and buy a beer. And, I don't mean just like a paper cup, I'm talking about a glass of beer. And, in Paris, you can buy a beer in McDonald's. You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?
Jules Winnfield: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with Cheese?
Vincent Vega: No, man, they got the metric system, they don't know what the fu** a Quarter Pounder is.
Jules Winnfield: What do they call it?
Vincent Vega: They call it a Royal with Cheese.
Jules Winnfield: Royal with Cheese.
Vincent Vega: That's right.

What does Marcellus Wallace look like?
Brett: What?
Jules: What country you from?
Brett: What?
Jules: What ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak English in What?
Brett: What?
Jules: ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER! DO-YOU-SPEAK-IT
http://i24.photobucket.com/...ndonee/skiing048.jpg
You're going to give her an injection of adrenaline directly to her heart. But she's got, uh, breastplates...
[taps Mia's chest]
Lance: You've got to pierce through that. So what you have to do is, you have to bring the needle down in a stabbing motion.
[demonstrates]
Vincent: I-I gotta stab her three times?
Lance: No, you don't gotta fucking stab her three times! You gotta stab her once, but it's gotta be hard enough to break through her breastplate into her heart, and then once you do that, you press down on the plunger.
Vincent: What happens after that?
Lance: I'm kinda curious about that myself.
http://i24.photobucket.com/...ndonee/skiing053.jpg
Pumpkin: Which one is your wallet?
Jules: It's the one that says Bad Motherfucker.
http://i24.photobucket.com/...andonee/3b6cd537.jpg
Jules: I'll just walk the earth.
Vincent: What'cha mean walk the earth?
Jules: You know, walk the earth, meet people... get into adventures. Like Caine from "Kung Fu."

I hope your skiing has been everything it should be this year -- I can't remember snow like this in decades.

Best wishes.

Well it was freak'in deep this weekend. I played hooky on Friday, by far the best day of the week to do it and the best snow, maybe this season. Knee to waste deep all day on BP.
When I thought we couldn't top it, then came Saturday. The snow had stabilized considerably so what else do you do but go chuting. Russell and Frankenstein were had with first tracks, Skull Bite got done too, unfortunately we weren't the first. I have some pics, but unfortunately I left my camera at home. They will get posted tomorrow. Getting to do lines like that remind why I don't go to the resort...

It's got me dreamin of 2000+vt ft drops off the top of some 14ers...I can't wait.

Not me, but here is some good stoke!

Anyone up for hitting "sh_t for brains" this weekend if the weather cooperates? It's the deeply inset couloir lookers left of the summit.
