Hello all. My name is Charles Shepherd I'm a 34 year old male living in the frozen wasteland of Fairbanks, Alaska. Will be moving to just outside of Chattanooga, TN as of spring 2006 (can't wait). Just recently got back into climbing after loosing 140 pounds. It's amazing how much easier it is to hold on to those tiny holds without 300 pounds pullling you rapidly down. Love both indoor and out with a preferance for outside, love the whole experience. Mainly toproping for now but hope to progress into Trad in the future. Am also trying out some basic ice climbing this coming summer down on the Mantanuska Glacier.

OK, I'll bite. But before I post my info, I think drfelatio who posted his name as BJ is a prankster (um, felatio, BJ...maybe my mind is in the gutter, but...) I also noticed there are a LOT of Ryans who climb. Oddly, the guy who introduced me to climbing is also Ryan. Name: Darcy Age: 37 Female Location: Sunny southern Cali (climb J-Tree as often as possible-only 1 hr drive for me!!) I have climbed indoor and outdoor. Level: very enthusiastic newbie Gear: Well, I got a harness, and some great shoes, some quick draws, a cool chalk bag (it's zebra striped velvet), a dynamic rope, locking beiner, ATC and a GriGri. I'll get some cams when I have more experience. Weird Fact: Well, here's some info about me. You decide if it's weird: I am a single mom of a great 6 year old boy (divorced a little over 3 years ago after 11 year marriage...) a talented graphic designer and am now addicted to climbing. Random Comments: Are above...
