In reply to: why is new hampsire so much cooler than utah? [nevre been to either] This is because it is further north.
In reply to: why am I still reading this website when I have a paper due tomorrow? I suspect because this is more interesting than the topic of your paper. If I am wrong, sue me.
In reply to: why am I still listenting to something corporate when my soul will shrivel if I hear another emo song? OK, you got me there. Curt

Curt how did you become so smart? Is there anyway that I could possibly be as smart as you? Is it true that climbing in a gym to much will shrivel your balls? If a tree falls in the forest and kills a clown, does anybody care?

In reply to: In reply to: Why did ctardi appoint himself n00b Q&A extraordinaire? How has he managed to get away with it this long without getting flamed to death? Ed I'm no extraordinare, I just like helping people. Props to ctardi for having a thick skin and for being a good sport. Chalk this thread up as one of the all-time classics.

Thanks. Here's one for you. You are a contestant on the game show Let's Make a Deal and you are asked to choose between getting what is behind door number 1, door number 2, or door number 3. Behind one of these doors is a new car and behind each of the other two doors is a goat. You then select one of the three doors. After doing so, one door is opened, revealing a goat and you are then asked if you want to change your door selection. What should you do if you want to win the car? jt512 and others who already know the answer should not respond. Curt

In reply to: Curt how did you become so smart? I have no idea. Wait, that doesn't sound very smart!!!
In reply to: Is there anyway that I could possibly be as smart as you? No.
In reply to: Is it true that climbing in a gym to much will shrivel your balls? Yes.
In reply to: If a tree falls in the forest and kills a clown, does anybody care? I'm not sure about this. My wife keeps asking me: if a man says something in a forest, and there is no woman around to hear him, if he is still wrong? Curt

In reply to: i'm assuming they open one of the doors you did *not* pick? in which case, you have, statistically, an equal probability of winning either with your initial choice or the other, 50/50 either way right? Yes, they open one of the two doors you did not pick--and show you a goat. That being the case, should you change your original door choice, in order to better your chances of winning the car? Curt

In reply to: ahhhh, nooo you switch! 'cause it's a 1/3 probability that you guessed right the first time and a 2/3 probabilty its in one of the doors you didn't pick. and if its not in the door they open... it's still a 2/3 probability that its in the one you didn't pick. you switch. :D Good job. Curt

Ive never seen lets make a deal so im not sure on how the game works but... i would say he would have to switch because by switching he would increase his probability of getting the right door to 2/3 as opposed to 1/3... but if that fails he could walk around with the goat hoping they are opposite sexes and the feral moans of a goat in heat would give away the answer. PM me if im wrong... i might be way off
