i read in some guidebook that there was a small climbing area in Armonk. I was wondering if anyone's actually been there and could tell me how it is and how to get to it.

i climbed there a few times because it was 10 minutes from my school, it's ok for an afternoon. short climb easy to top rop, but it finishes in someone's back yard. i've only done 2 routes, but it looks like there are about 10 routes there, nothing special. just close by. i'm still looking for directions, i can find it by sight, i just don't know any street names. sorry.

Used to climb there when I was going to SUNY Purchase. It's not far but it's been so long I cant give accurate directions. Wasnt much of a crag but it served it's purpose.

ha, i went to Purchase too (2000). When i took the outdoor weekends class we when over there. i ended up being the belay bitch yeah if you could give me directions that would be great, it's a good place to teach someone how to climb, rather than going to the gunks and having to wait for a route.

Cool, I figured you guys were going there. I graduated in 199 - something! Fond memories. I used to skateboard around campus in those tunnels and spent way to much time chasing the dancers around! You know what Im talkin' about.

An "it school!" Wow. Not local anymore - living in colorado. Sometimes I miss the city though.
