Haha, more than happy to critique this one. ;) I don't like the facial blur. I know it can't really be avoided, but it detracts. This is why I do all my own modelling. The shadowing is quite decent. Could be better, but there's nothing noticable unless you actually look for problems. Shadows are always tough, you did pretty good on this one. Beyond those technical issues, my only other technical concern is that it's dealing with an item that is not normally vertical. That kinda throws me off a little. Glad I can be an inspiration!

The curl of the fingers says hand on sloper. Position the talentish so that his hand is actually on the top of the key. And lose the blur.

From the angle the picture would be taken from wouldn't the blurred part be at the bottom of the photo and clear up as it reached his hand? i could be dead wrong.

Sorry - can't lose the blur, since it's not me... btw - I don't think he'd appreciate the ish bit - that was a v8 he was on! Good call on the "sloper hand" though. I was kinda limited by the position of his other hand, so that's where I ended up putting it.

ish - no face. I don't get the point of the blur. If you aren't selling the picture and it doesn't portray teh person in a negative light, what's the problem? If someone can take Hillary Clinton's head, paste it on the body of a shemale and spread that all over wht web, I think you can paste a climber on a keyboard.

If you rotate the keyboard clockwise a few degrees his hand would be using the sloper hand on the side of the sloper key. Also Pirate's right about the blur. If you still feel really guilty, ask the subject if you can use their pic.

never seen a keyboard from this angle. why would anyone place the keyboard/laptop upside down? i think placing the talent on a more realistic (!) environment would be better... oh, lose the blur

Ditto that. At least, choose environments in their natural position. Good idea, but the unnatural position of the keyboard throws me off..
