The best guide for MN/WI area is "Rock climbing in Minnesota and Wisconsin" by Mike Ferris, from Falcon Guides. It covers pretty much all the major MN crags (good North Shore coverage) and plus two WI crags (Devil's Lake, Willow River).

No idea about the other areas, though.

I didn't know there was much to climb in the UP aside from some ice.

lots of climbing around Marquette and Calumet MI (that's in the UP, eh). Check out Downwinds Sports in Marquette and Houghton, MI. Also check out the Ridge Roamers Climbing Club based out of Michigan Technological University, Houghton.

As far as I know a real guidebook has yet to be compiled for the UP. Phil Watts (NMU professor) probably has a good compilation of notes on the climbing UP here, but most of it is no doubt in his head. There are a few other diehard locals like Kelly Laakso who've got it upstairs, but I think it's been slow to push an actual published guidbeook because of the high overhead and lack of interest in such a thing.

Maybe an informal one will get put together. I know Jason Schneider (emmajoe on rc.com) has been attempting a small guidebook for the Little Presque bouldering area, complete with satellite photos and everything, but, again, it's slow coming.

Putting one together is something I definitely have an arseload of interest in doing, if I can get folks to give up the secrets to a new guy like me. However, because I am new I almost feel bad claiming financial gain where others have put in backbreaking hours of route development and exploration. Anyway, if you want to know where some good, unlisted stuff is drop me a private message.
