Has anyone been in the Whitney region, especially the N Fork of Lone Pine recently? Specifically, what are the snow/avalanche conditions on the approach to Iceberg lake, and the East face, and on the Mountaineer's route? Planning a trip for the first week in March and I want to know about snow conditions. Snowpack and avalanche conditions that I have seen posted are at least a week or two old and I'd like to have first hand and more up to date info.
