If you really want to work in a ski town you need to be willing to take whatever you can get. Of course, if you want to be very wealthy in a ski town, become an orthipedic surgan.
I just wish it wasn't the busy season right now or I would take you up on the offer to get out and do some climbing/skiing. It seems that lately I have been lucky to get out once a week to do some area skiing for a couple hours.

Mountain bike, or get a tube and float the yampa

Go to Ski Haus for a Steamboat climbing guide if you don't already have one.

Let me know how the areas are around there. I've just climbed at butcher knife.

I am always up for some Backcountry and I don't really know the Steamboat area at all for BC. How is it up there anyway? I've been doing the southern areas quite a bit which have been superb. I have Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays off and I am looking for a partner for Friday. Have splitboard will travel. Shoot me a PM and let's get out.

It's it hard to become a whitewater kayak guide in CO. Oh and I'm not climbing in Steamboat, only snowboarding

Hey, you poor suckers out in the boat: no jobs, start of the season, mud season that is, no rock, no ice (no surf) and Evan Freeman sharkin for partners. don't trust him, and don't ever go climbing with him, he's got an ape index of like, plus 5, and he's already 6'7" , skinny as a pencil. He's like a machine. A real terror on the approaches, he'll out climb everyone of you, then drop in to every one of your lines. He'll shred you, and do it with a 60 pound pack on filled with gear, which you will need if you try to keep up with him. What ever you do, don't go anywhere with this man, he's armed and dangerous, besides, I need my partner back.

Evan, the base in the Sierras is over 20 feet and it's still comin down. deepest year ever, and your at the boat, Whats the base there, like 60 inches? The season here is just starting. Wahoo Gullies, Palisades, Mt Tom, you know what I'm taken about.

Don't even get me started on the rock; Jtree, Red Rocks, Yosemite, Taquitz and I beleive you have some unfinished biz on Bear Creek Spire.

I need you here, now, and bring The Base Camp.

hey, i'm not 6'7"! besides, you should talk, mr. i-lead-WI5-on-my-first-day-out-this-season-wearing-20-year-old-leather-boots-and-rigid-crampons! ;p

ah, california...the granite, the bottomless snow, the crowds. i feel the tug, like a black hole, and may not be able to resist much longer

i'll be out of here soon--we're likely going to drive my new $500 toyota to panama and try to get it across the darien gap and abandon it if we can't. that will probably start in early april.
