In reply to: In reply to: Why do textbooks cost so damn much? Because they have a monopoly. Check to see if the books are distributed through large book chains. Usually cheaper. Oh random... I have 4 computers and no TV in my apartment. They aren't cheaper, I've looked. The best deals for me have been amazon.com. Free shipping so no tax, and they sometime ship from Lex so they are here in like 3 days for the "free 7-20 day shipping".

My favourite photo ever from this site isn't one of climbing at all, it's the one of erica and abi with cowboy hats on. That bothers more than it probably should. :?

In reply to: I just drank Barium Sulfate. after a google search here is one use for Barium Sulfate: for prostrate exams!!!! http://www.health-information-fitness.com/images/berium-enema.jpg
In reply to: Using an enema of opaque barium sulfate allowing examination of the entire colon by x-ray. Barium Sulfate is infused into the colon for diagnostic purposes. They may inject as much as 3 or 4 qts. of barium to distend the entire colon. It absorbs X-rays, leaving a picture of the shape of the inside of the colon. Many times the barium is released and then air (or CO2) is injected into the colon distending it again. This is called a double contrast barium enema it leaves a barium coating the colon wall, and gives an almost clear image of the lining of the colon.

It's approx 2.5 hour ride up there from the dc area. I have a knife skills class the night before (l'academie de cuisine in md). I have no excuse other then I covet my sleep - alike but not so, I don't sleep well and when I do, it doesn't consider waking up early on a weekend if I am in slumber the night before. :) edit: dbyte, will do! our crew is still trying to figure out its name

In reply to: In reply to: OK so you have to be there by 9:00, means leaving by 7:30 , up by 6:30 (??) to s--- , shower and shave.... I'd say that qualifies as early. Not the "Buttcrack of Dawn" or "OH-Dark-Thirty" but still early IMHO. No shame Correction: 9:00 - 2.5 hour drive = 6:30AM departure Nice work Pythagoras... he he he yeah .... What do you expect, I was a theatre major! So... even more so 5:30 wake up call, is definitely early
