I would like to make a small wall at home but I don't really have much space. How much space do you think is needed for it to be worthwhile making???

My wall is 4' wide and 10' tall, its nice to have atleast 2 feet of head room above the wall (mine is outside).
My wall is boring an I hardly ever use it, make it the largest that your space and budget will allow for. You can see a poor picture of it, well part of it showing the crack, on my profile...
let me add that there is a fence 4 feet behind my wall, I've only hit it once!

just realised a small problem. I was gonna build it outside but that doesn't give me enough space to safely fall in. Inside the rooms are only 7 feet tall which is a real shame. looks like i'll have to stick to my local gym

my wall is only 4x8 too. but it has an adjustable lean so I can have anywhere from 90 degrees to 10 degress. Go search for how to make one off of stoneageclimbing.com thats where I got my idea. and its all in my basement. Only 7 feet tall so I cant ever have it totally vertical.

My wall is 8 x 8 and is attached to one end of my house. I dont have room to make it lean out from the house, but vertical is good enough for me. Depending on where you live outdoors is a bad place to put it, the three months of the year when I most need mine it's all wet and cold.
A few months gym fees (more or less) will build a wall that you'll likely use way more often than the gym!

Mine is a freestanding 8*12 wall that is an adjustable angle it is in my garage.
