Hey I was wondering what climb is shown on page 101 of The Rock Warriors Way. It looks like such a cool climb and is located in the Gunks. Thanks in advance.

Two bumps in under three hours?

Is it really that important that it needs bumping?

Kudos to Ilgner for recyclying old and almost stale info, putting fresh new phrases on tried and true methods, and repackaging common athletic sense to sell to people looking for a magic pill.

Sure the book has some worthwhile ideas, but none of them are actually Arno's. If this book helps one, it is only because they were very ignorant to begin with.

It is a shame to give credit to such a self promoting, quasi-plagiarist for info that was created long ago and by other people.

JerseyClimber - I'm moving this to the Warriors way forum since most of the people that have this book hang out there - might get you the best exposure.. ;)

cliffhanger9 moved this thread from Trad Climbing to Warrior's Way.

The climb is called :

Erect Direction 5.10c PG

It has a # 318 in new Guide book by Dick Williams.
( page 258 if you want to see the pick )
Leader name is Julie Sayfert Lillis and she was belayed by Mike Lillis
Photo in my guide book by Jeff Achey.

Hope this answers your question.

I was rereading part of the RWW today and remembered this post, so I thought I would look and see what the photo was. I couldn't believe it was Erect Direction. That was the last route I did last time I was at the Gunks. Its hard to believe that the big roof isn't the crux, the huge roof goes at 10a on huge holds, WILD!!
