Two of us from RI will be in NC to climb for a few days. I have a copy of The Climber's Guide (Kelley), it has the info I need for Looking Glass but we would like to do a day at Crowder's Mtn. and there is limited route description. We can sport lead up to 5.8 and TR higher routes. Can anyone tell me where I can find more beta or even send me some suggestions? We will be in NC the week of April 18 - 22.

Thanks for redirecting me to the route info right on the NC website. I had looked at it some time ago but didn't pay attention to how much detail there is.

I'm not a huge fan of Crowder's, due to excessive tourists and fragile, chossy rock, but this is simply the best online climbing guide of all time. My hat's definitely off to the web developer. Good show! http://www.crowdersmountain.com/climbing_routes.asp

Well if you are comeing from the north via I-77 you should check out Stone Mountain, a must climb when you are in North Carolina, and its not like its out of your way either so you could stop by on the way in or out, but definatly give it a try.
