Ok, look, first of all, they didn't fall into the crevasse. They climbed into it to seek shelter from a storm. There's a HUGE difference.

What's with "find another mountain?" Have you ever been to Rainier? It's a really awesome place (to hike, climb, etc.) I really don't think it's any more dangerous than any other mountain. I climbed it a few years ago and had a blast and no one had any injuries more severe than a blister.

These folks got caught in a storm and did exactly the right thing. They kept their heads and sought shelter.
