I was hoping that someone would be willing to take me out to some of the local rocks (Hinkley?) and help me climb a little for the first time on the rocks. I have been to kendall cliffs (climbing gym) about 5 times now. I a very basic setup (harness, chalk, chalk bag, belay devices (ATC), and 1 carabiner ) I have been reading here on RC.com as well as studying the book Mountianeering, The Freedom of the Hills. Although I have a lot to learn, obviously... I would like to go out, learn, have fun but not be a burden (if that's possible). Anyway, I have taken the intro course at Kendall Cliffs, passed the belaying test and like I've said been their about 5 times now. That's all the experience I've had (besides rapelling at age 8 (now 27) ). Thanks! Jeremy [ This Message was edited by: coolpops on 2002-07-03 07:58 ]

More info about Kendall Cliffs can be found on the net at: http://www.kendallcliffs.com. I would be willing to drive a little ways but not far enough that I would have to get a hotel. 4hrs one way? I live in Norton, OH ... about 10 miles west of Akron. tcarr in my home town has offered to climb some with me and let me hang out with him and a few other climbers in the area as well. Thanks!
