Has anyone done this recently? I remember the old guidebook had a pic. of someone (curt smith I think) sending w/o a rope. I remember trying this problem (with a TR) back in the early 90's when Donny, Dan, Walt and Greg (older woodson locals) came up and ran laps on this beautiful problem. After that day, I started climbing w/ these guys and everything they put me on was 'ten plus'...

it's been bouldered more times by more people than you can count. with pads these days, a bit of the edge is taken off -- back in the day, in the 80's, you could get spanked pretty good if you fell off the last move. funny, when i think 'older woodson locals' i think: shawn curtis; mike paul; ron amick; rick piggot, greg cameron and and the poway mountain boys; greg epperson; rick allenby; tom and elke, dick cilley (honorary local) and so on. early 70's to mid 80's types...

Dan's strong as snot, no doubt :) Stairway w/o rope is still proud. You can static the last move if you remember where the tiny foot is, but it'd still be scary, I've not done it unroped yet.

Suzy's not V10, i was trying the route next to it that you showed me and it kicked my ass, so what you said doesn't make a whole lot of sense...
