is this place legit now? i was under the impression that it was supposed to still be kept on the DL. only time i ever went out there there were a group of teenagers skipping school to smoke weed hanging out. its a fun spot though.

Yeah, RC.com has been trying to clean up its act as of late, but those damned potheads just keep coming back and breaking bottles in the alley.

Poplar Tent is closed. Nothing has changed, other than that more and more people are poaching. Everybody that goes in there should expect to have their cars towed and to be arrested and/or fined for trespassing, and then count themselves lucky if they aren't.

Folks will do what they please, but IMO, it's not worth the potential hassle.

cool, i was taken there back in 99 or 00 and the guy acted like it was ok that HE was there but to never go with out him. i never have been back

A couple of my friends have been there to climb and im going to go check it out today and see whats up, but they have had no problems with anyone at all much less seen anyone for as far as i know.

I'm not a local anymore, but from what I hear, Poplar Tent access seems to have become pretty much a wink-wink, nudge-nudge situation.
