I've never known how to edit, but aclove does and was doing a great job of adding and editing problems, most notably the over-rated Sit High Thin (V2 at most unless you're skipping stuff on purpose).

Why isn't the edit option (1) easy to find, and (2) open to editing?

sit high thin a v2? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I'm sorry but doing a great job on editing stuff? Your friend may be an excellent climber and I can only say that is totally awesome, but when you come to someone's work and reedit everything. take the credit where it is not deserved, frankily, I'm not cool with it, nor are several other climbers. I don't care what kind of debate this will cause, I am fed up wit this shit.

alright, maybe V2+ if it's that important to you. It's a cool problem but it isn't V4 by any stretch of the imagination. Of course that's my opinion and it I were able to edit, I'd change the number to reflect my opinion.

Oh, and who's claiming credit where it's not deserved? Neither aclove nor I have reclaimed any of the previously mentioned problems. The only thing I've seen is an improvement in descriptions and a few adjustments in ratings.

I am still not getting the edit option at Bauer's, but am getting everywhere else. Did you or someone else lock the edit ability? Admin told me some guy who lives in France did it, but he was rightly confused and had no idea. So, again, what's up with the edit?

I dont really care about the single rating. I just wanted it to be an accurate reflection of the other ratings. After doing probably a thousand miscellaneous V4s around the country, I can only conclude that it is the easiest V4 I have ever done.

I should have regraded Sit High Thin earlier today when the edit function was still functional. The regrading didn't happen because I though that maybe, just maybe I was using something that was "off" as is sometimes the case at small areas.

After further refiew...Nope, still not V4. Sorry to burst your bubble. Large and positive hand holds + almost fertical wall + jug feet = easy problem

Oh, and aclove is an old man. Don't listen to him.

you cant edit it because its a locked area. only area managers and the person who locked it (and possibly the admins) can edit it.

my suggestion: pm dontfall and ask him to either change it or unlock it so you can do so.

note: i could unlock the thing (i know its locked becasue i can edit it and the status is set to locked) but i wont do so without a good reason. like if dontfall had an accident and cant get to the comp or something. usa aint my area and doind stuff like this can really get the tempers going

Thanks for the response. That may explain why only rarely does the "edit" option appear. Maybe it comes up if the system is temporarily available for edits.

actually, it should be avaiable on all non-locked crags.

The edit function works for me everywhere but here. Too bad, because there is another worthy line on the Mobb Deep boulder to add. The only thing I can think is that dontfall has it locked or Admin has it locked. I was just trying to show some surprisingly nice new problems (at a place that is trashed BTW), and it is looking like this site is shut down over a disagreement about the rating of a V2 boulder problem with spray paint all over it? No thanks man.
