About a week ago, Mr. Fantastic and I ordered some goods on gearexpress.com, starting our individual acquisitions of trad racks. :D Delivery is scheduled for today. Nearly 2pm and no UPS man. :x Yet every other day of the week, I see him delivering packages around noon.

UPS man, hurry your ass up so I can play with my new gear.

Anyone else ever notice that they seem to take their sweet ass time when the day you've got goods on the way?

I use them a lot but the ONLY time they are late is when I NEED the package. THAT'S when they take an extra day.

Jeff.

Stop whining, it sucks working for big boring brown. Plus, I usually have exellent sevice from both gx.com and UPS. Must be an extraordinary circumstance.

Not complaining. I just can't stand the sweet, sweet anticipation much longer. I'd imagine they just have a lot of deliveries today. But still, my shiney, shiney gear is somewhere in a four mile radius and I can't get my paws on it. grrhagh. :?

When I was at school I used to know all the local UPS hubs and TTD (Time to Delivery) so I could check all the time and KNOW pretty damn well when I could go get by bounty from the mail room!

Just think, your package probably fell off the back of a truck somewhere, and someone is using your gear to climb and take big fat whippers on as I am writing this...

I'm kidding of course. Hope it gets there soon. Just the other day, I skipped lunch to go to the post office to pick up a shiny new cam... yum. Can't wait to throw that sucker in a crack this weekend:)

I feel your pain, but usually my situation is I'm never home when he first comes, so I have to wait an extra excruciating day to get it!!!

However, after you place an order, you can go into the UPS site throught the link gearexpress.com or whoever sent you through e-mail, and change the shipment for will-call, and you can go pick it up yourself. If I remember you can only pick-up will-call packages from 9-12, but that way you don't have to wait for brown to come to you.

By the way, I just received a couple of new cams today through UPS and am playing with them right now!!!!.

Well, this summer I should be around. I like meeting people in the area. It's sort of my goal to meet everyone who climbs here. I thought I have been doing a pretty good job. Guess not!

I like to get the tracking #. This way I can monitor the progress on the internet. Although I must warn, you will go absolutely insane when you package gets with in 20 miles of its destination and some sorter screws up and you watch it go to the other corner of the continent. There is nothing you can to but watch and cuss etc.... Might be best to not know, but I can't help looking.

The gear came on time . . . but I was at class. (Doh!) Fortunately, the folks here at the hub let me come in after hours to pick up my gear. :D Thanks Brown. Separate note, I ordered two BD nut tools, but recieved ABC nut tools. :? Oh well. Guess I'll have to bring a bottle opener separately from the nut tool, or improvise.

Maculated, I'm up for climbing with new people. You can look me up on the Cal Poly Directory: Justin Amador. I'll be here over Summer, too. Let me know if you want to climb.

best mail service I ever got was from barrabes via DHL: 3 days to my door in small town nc.

worst was Sierra Trading Post via DHL: sat 20 minutes from girlfriend's house for 4 days. We were hopelessly waiting for her boots to arrive so we could get to mt. washington this last winter. I still hate them for it.

I just bought some stuff from Sierra trading post and was waiting for it to show up Thursday. I wasn't home and my mailman has got balls and likes to gamble so he left my package at the doorstep of my apartment just sitting there like a helpless baby. Of course one of the thugs in my apartment complex stole my package. I called the post office and got the mailman in trouble and now have to wait 20 business days to get a new delivery from Sierra trading post. I can't wait to walk down my hall and see some punk wearing my BD Rockbottoms and beat the S**t out of him.
