Will be spending a week in Moab, climbing at Castle Calley, Canyonlands and maybe a day at Indian Creek. Where would be a good place near town to camp out (so that we can get food refill etc. easily)?

There are many options and you may want to stay at more than one place, especially if you're driving down to the creek. Here are a few choices. The River Rd has a number of BLM sites that are pretty much pay sites nowadays. Head downstream on the Potash Rd and there are a number of free sites near the Wall St crags. You can keep going and camp in Long Cyn. There are a number of freebie sites along the highway out to Dead Horse Pt, the better ones being higher up. There are good freebie sites in the Courthouse Pasture and towards Gemini Bridges. The Sandflats Rd above town has great pay sites that can be wind exposed. Kane Creek is nice if its not too crowded. South of town you can camp near Ken's Lake or turn right towards the Behind the Rocks area. If you're out at Castle Valley there's free camping at the base of Castleton, or head further out up Onion Crk or at the Fisher Towers (pay). Just about any of these sites is within 30 minutes of Moab. You can also stay at one of the parks. Get a good map when you arrive and you'll be able to find these and other areas if you want.
