aughh!!! went climbing on monday...... had a great time..... ended up in the friggin hospital later on..... fortunately didn't break anything.... but have a seriously severe sprained ankle. My right foot looks so friggin gimped compared to my right. Yeah, I"m doing the rice thing but geez, I couldn't be any more bored/annoyed than I am now. I can't climb, I can't walk properly due to my stupid crutches, I can't work, I'm just lying here typing this.... with my leg elevated with ice. The weather is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome right now. And I so want to play outside.... but no I'm stuck inside. with a big ass freaken chubbed up and purple foot. And I'm having shitty sleep at night cuz it seems to ache more than ever during the night. anyway, just thought I'd bitch and complain... cuz only you guys would understand what it feels like to be out of order and not be able to climb shit all. :?

I hope you get well soon. :( I'm sure you'll come back stronger and more skillful.

Once you can walk, find something you can do outdoors so at least you can keep some of your sanity. It's how I coped (I started sailing).

Fell with ya! Had the same thing three weeks before: One on crooks, one hobbling, one rest. Did climb some by now and climbing is definately less painfull than walking... Keep it elevated as long as you can and ice it like you got nothing else to do. Makes it bearable. Good luck! - Daniel
