I'm moving to Bloomington, IN on August 1st and have three weeks of relatively free time. I'd like to spend some of that at RRG. I'm curious what the weather situation is like mid August (is there shade anywhere?), and how well a solo climber would fare. I've been climbing for over a decade now and found some of the big areas, like Smith and Squamish, it's easy for solo climbers to find partners. Others, like the City of Rocks, make it a bit harder. So, would I have any luck at RRG? VT

www.redriverclimbing.com There is shade, but you can't hide from the humidity.

Go hang out at Miguels pizza/gear shop/camp ground... if there's climbing partners to be found, that's where they'll be. (And don't forget to eat while you're there!)
